The need
At ski resorts, customers want to book their equipment before they arrive, and the shop wants to prepare rentals in advance to avoid queues at the counter. Stock is limited and prices change with school holidays and length of stay.
What Plug & Rent does
- Stock per product type (Blue Ski, Red Boots, Helmet…) computed for the requested dates: no day-by-day availability to enter.
- Skier profile (first name, height, weight, age, shoe size) entered at booking so bindings can be set and the right boots prepared. Always optional.
- Linked options: boots or helmet offered with a ski really use the stock of the matching product.
- Damage cover at each product’s own daily rate.
- Early-booking discounts per period, shown as a struck-through price.
- Billing per day, pick-up and return included, with a default suggested duration (Sunday → Friday, for example).
In practice
Ski Fun Manigod, at the Col de Merdassier, uses Plug & Rent for online ski equipment bookings.
